Roxanna and I met in the summer of 1997.  We were both one of the awkward kids who were starting a new high school with zero friends.  We ended up eating lunch together on the first day of 10th grade, and have literally been the best of friends since.  I mean, she named her first child after me, Christina 🙂 #flattered

This was her 5th baby.  FIFTH!!  And the best thing about it is how amazing of a mother she is, to all of them.  She loves them and works her butt off for them.  They are kind a beautiful humans, which is only more of a testament to how dedicated she has been to them over the last 17 years.

But really, being 34 years old, pregnant with your 5th kid, does it get any more perfect than this?? (in my best Chandler Bing voice;)  We shot this in the field across the street from my house.  It was a blazing 20 degrees outside.  Spent about 30 minutes shooting and then couldn’t take the pain of the cold any longer.  But I think it worked out beautifully.

Maternity is such a sweet time in a mother’s life.  She is full of all the hopes and dreams of her new baby.  I think it really shows in images captured.  The magic happening is so evident in her.  Pretty amazing stuff, don’t you think?
