“I do love nothing in the world so well as you—is not that strange?” (Act IV, scene i)
Destination Alabama Engagement Session
This is such a beautiful engagement session and I am so excited to share it with you guys. When Madison agreed that we should travel to this location to shoot their engagement, I knew it was going to be worth every single mile we all drove to get there!
I wish you could have seen the rain storms that danced all around us. It was pretty incredible to be so high with a totally unobstructed view. This rock effacement is in a remote location and there are only a handful of campers with their dogs hanging out. So, it’s the perfect place to shoot. There is minimal hiking and at some points, you just walk straight out on to the effacement to see this wide open view. Magic.
But back to this beautiful couple. I was so honored to be asked to be Madison’s wedding photographer. I shot her sisters wedding a few years ago, so this was such a sweet way to be a part of their gorgeous family growing again!
We both live in metro Atlanta, but a few summers ago, an Indian friend of mine took us to this place. It’s in the heart of Cherokee nation and bears the name Cherokee Rock Village.
When I talked to Madison and we started planning her engagement session, this came to mind, immediately. I showed her a few images from a session I styled from the summer before. She was like, “YES! We are doing that!!”
And the rest in history.
Just look how beautiful this space is.
