This is the beautiful Hawes family. Tiffani & Jeff have invited me to share a piece of their life every fall since 2012. I am so thankful and honored to shoot their annual family photos. To say that photographing them is a dream would be an understatement. Tiffani is always sure to plan her sessions to a tee. And they are always absolutely beautiful.
Last year, they all had their DNA profiles tested and Jeff’s ancestry is predominantly Nigerian and Tiffani wanted to honor the Native American in hers. That is exactly what we did. You can see that post here. It was truly one of the more meaningful and beautiful sessions I’ve ever participated in.
This year, mama was in a moody kind of mood. She went for blacks and gave Jeff a pop of color. Even though everyone was in black, she made sure to add a little drama to it with the ladies dresses. Just look at baby girls dress. I mean, seriously! Look, if you’re going to shoot monochrome, hit the design out of the park. Go big, or go home! lol.
We shot in a wooded area that fit her vision. This family is really down for whatever it takes. We had to wade through creeks barefoot just to get the wide angle, wooded shot she wanted. Zero complaints, too! And she LOVED the final image. It was exactly what she had envisioned.
Just look at these humans. How could it get any better?
